Question 2006 RX400H AWD Rear Bearing Torque

Folks i have searched high and low on both this forum and the internet but cannot find what i am looking for. I am looking for the rear passenger side torque settings for the wheel bearing hub assembly. I have the part and finally a nice weather day to tackle this on the weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry.

Default 1 big bolt

It has one big bolt that goes onto the axle and 4 smaller bolts (that mount onto the rear behind the rotor). It is the one big bolt (approx 18mm) that i need the torque for. thanks.

hey guys, wanted to just confirm if it's 217 lb ft on all RX 2nd gen?

I have an 04 and will need to do my rear bearings soon also.. do u guys know if we can just go to machine shop and have bearings pressed in or do we have to purchase a complete new hub assembly w/ bearing? How are the results from Timkin beearings? I'd assume they have to be decent as that's all they do is bearings...?

These cars are too new for these bearings to be failing...what can u do i guess... I see the entire hub assembly for rear on Sewell is part # 424500E010 but it's $440 bux each!!! argh... so any input from you guys who have gone thru this already I'd really appreciate your help.

424500E010
HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY, REAR AXLE, (RH - RIGHT / PASSENGER SIDE) (SPORT PACKAGE)&W/MOON ROOF (2WD - TWO WHEEL DRIVE)
that's the description however I have all wheel drive so I'm not sure if it's same or not as mine has an axel going through it.

There are other choices, such as:

Just be sure to check for what is the correct part for your vehicle.

any one heard of BCA? the guy at a local shop told me they come with a 5 year warantee.. that's pretty good they are $275 each though..

i'm assuming since it's a sealed unit there's just 4 or 5 bolts that need to be removed and it's an easy install?

http://www.z06vette.com/forums/f5/be...timken-109415/

Maybe Timkin it is... I know oem is not worth it because they're already garbage.. so I don't see why we should pay oem price just to get bearings that will fail in the future.. Motion industry's rep says timkin and I've done a lot of work w/ Motion and they are very very careful about their bearings.. my rep use to tell me even keeping them in a cardboard box was bad for them you gota keep them wrapped.. I'll post if I find anything different.

And by buying the whole hub you do not need to worry about having to take the bearing some place to be pressed in to the old assembly.

As I mentioned in another thread previous, looks like the AWD RX have an issue with wheel bearings. Not necessarily seeing the problem in FWD for whatever reason. Wonder if they are being sourced from different shops.

thomas I saw you put 217lb ft on center bolt, what do you torque the 4 side bolts to?
