It was just stroke of luck that it was not parked in the garage that night. The insurance company did discuss it with Lexus but my dads attitude was as long as the insurance company pays out don't rock the boat if the insurance company want to argue it with Lexus let them do it when they have payed. Witch they have done.

One thing I found funny was the rear armrest the remote for the seats and DVD were still in tact and the CDs in the front are rest were still in tact ( a little smoke and water damaged) but not burt so a little tip for all you LS owners out there the arm rests are fire proof just a shame the rest of the car wasn't

Ouch...what made them determine it was the battery that caused the fire?

To be fair i think they just blamed the battery's because they determined the fire started in the boot so that was it battery's were blamed

Didn't think they made LS body kits for the Chevy Volt yet

Glad everyone is fine and that insurance covered.

Good luck
