So I bit the bullet this week and bought a 2006 RX400h. Love having a SUV that gets decent gas mileage. I have read through various sources that, in California, the warranty on hybrid components is 10 year/150k as opposed to the regular 8 year/100k warranty. Is that true?

The window sticker on the car says "8 year/100k hybrid battery/hybrid components", but it also says to look at the owners manual supplement. Any clarification you could provide would be great!

Call any Lexus dealer and give them the VIN, and they will tell you how much of each warranty remains, starting from the in-service date.

I also just got a 2006 RX 400h and was told it's 8 yrs / 100k.

I got the premium extended warranty though on it so now I have 4 yrs 48k on everything including the hybrid system.
