Does anyone know what the Lexus ES300 uses for an aux (12v) battery? AGM, or wet cell? Type? Size? Gp?
Do all the Toyota hybrids (Prius, Camry, Lexus), per chance, use the same (group, size, capacity, dimensions, connectors) 12v battery, since it doesn't have to start the vehicle?
Since some hybrids (mostly read about Prius) have a history of failing to start the engine after a couple of weeks inactivity, I'd like to prepare myself, by having the right type of charger & trickle/maintainer on hand. I have a standard charger & trickle charger, but I understand that they aren't satisfactory for the AGM battery.
And, I've read that these 12v batteries have a charge sensor connector for charging rate & pattern. That so? That implies that it may be an AGM battery.
I have no experience with AGM batteries or hybrid vehicles.
