First time Lexus buyer - just purchased ES300h
After what seemed like weeks of searching for the right vehicle I finally pulled the trigger on a new ES300h. Take delivery next week and looking forward to enjoying this Lexus for many years to come (my old car served me well for 9 years). I started the process looking for a small SUV, starting with the Audi Q5 and all the competition. That led me to the RX. It was once in the showroom that I noticed the ES, a car that felt like my grandpa's car 9 years ago! After the second visit I decided to test drive one just for the heck of it and a week later I'm getting ready to drive off in one! I rarely buy brand new but this case required an exception. The extra room inside was key as we'll be able to fit the family in there for the shorter drives and not have everyone so cramped or fighting over who doesn't sit in the middle seat. I was good with the 350 but the family urged me, rightfully so, to give the 300h a good look and in the end they were right. It may take a little while to get used to as it's not a sporty car like the German competition, but that's not what I need at this stage. I'll be driving a solid 20,000 highway miles per year on pretty much straight road. The hybrid will save a ton on gas as I'll go from filling up every week to every other now. I'll make up the cost differential in just over 2 years at today's gas prices, sooner if they rise further.
Any suggestions from current owners as I get ready to become a Lexus owner? One of the things I've read most often is to check the tire pressure, just to make sure the dealer brings it down to where it's supposed to be.
Thanks!
