If you buy it from the right place, its so inexpensive, its peace of mind. Having said that, I would never buy it from the dealer when you buy the car.

Look in this thread and read about Jerry Johnson of Midwest Toyota and Lexus. Ask him for a price for your vehicle. I have never heard of anyone getting a better price anywhere.

I am about to buy one too for my 2013 RX350. I'll probably get the 7 year/100,00 mile policy, but they have others as well; all much cheaper than your dealer most likely.

God luck.

I will have abut 13K miles to decide as you only have to purchase it before your 4/50 is up. Still, I am curious to see if I want to drag it to 7/100 or something. The price is about $2000 for that

In any case call Jerry for a price and all the various choices.

I have a question about my 2008 CPO Lexus RX350, which I purchased with around 32K and received the new factory warranty on top of. We will hit the expiration date in two weeks (current miles 63,300), and I'm interested in extending. When I went to check on the internet guys (left a voice mail for Jerry at Midwest based on advice on here as well, waiting for a call back), it would not take my price quote request because it said I'm outside of the 4 years/50K new car warranty...but I received the same warranty with the 32K on it already because it was a CPO. Does anyone know if I am still eligible for an extended Lexus warranty, given it was a CPO with miles already on it? Seems kind of unfair if not.

FYI, the car died while my wife was driving it this week, had it towed in to Lexus, and it was an A/C Compressor and clutch which also took out the battery...not sure why that shut the engine down while driving but it did. Repair bill would have been over $1500 but I made it under warranty by 2 weeks, so all was covered...which is why I am now looking at an extension, but only if I can get the Lexus warranty. Thoughts or help much appreciated.

Jerry Johnson isn't selling warranties anymore unless you personally come into his KS dealer. Just spoke to him - apparently Lexus corporate came down on him about all the complaints they were getting from other dealers who were being "undercut" by Jerry. Bummer.
