Congrats on the pick up. Curious to know how the auction vehicle fared when you had a chance to look at it in person.

Due to the distance and timing I didn't even get to see the auction 450h. I drove 90 min to see #4 and it's essentially flawless, and for a few hundred $ more it was an easy decision. I'll take a suburban Maryland 20K 2011 over a Bronx 2010 40K.

I just bought 2014 silver with black interior. I traded in an is250, silver, with the light grayish interior. Not sure why, but the black interior just seems more luxurious. I was worried about it being hotter in the summer, but heck, Lexus has that covered with the ventilated seats. Love the black interior!

Having just purchased a 2010 450h with just 15,000 miles on it (for less than SF Bay Area dealers were asking for similarly equipped '10 models with twice the mileage) I would go for option #3. It most likely just came off lease and certainly, the dealer would not have bought it at auction unless it was in excellent condition and well maintained. My philosophy when it comes to buying used vehicles is that all other things -- including price -- being more or less equal, the less mileage leaving the lot for the first time, the better.

$41,000 and the best on my trade by $800. Made this 450h only $900 for a year newer and half of the miles of the other options. It was a local suv, leased and serviced from same dealership. Really easy to deal with and I feel like the price was reasonable.

29.7mpg on the way home vs 14.3 in the Tahoe on the way there! Love it so far....
Oops. I should've read this post before I replied. Good going. I got my 2010 15K miles for $40,988. One owner, a retired general who bought it from the same dealership and same salesman and traded it in for a CT200h because he wanted a smaller hybrid. Their other car is a Prius, so now they essentially have two of 'em, only the Lexus was way more expensive than the Toyota.

Nice mileage. The best I've done in my first week in my car is 26. I'm averaging about 25.4 mpg in mixed driving over a distance of about 150 miles. I am hoping to do better.
