Default 2016 NX300h Vortex Blue metallic

The car finally arrived and delivered. The first 2016 in Hawaii, only Vortex blue...for now. Flaxen interior.

My orginal color ordered was the meteor blue, which got messed up in the ordering process, long story short, we had to reorder the car and wait for a second time. Turns out for the better coz I love this Vortex blue color much more than than the meteor blue.

For our inconvinience and waiting time (approx 5 months), we got $1000 off the 2015 price, free mud guards (have to wait for delivery) and $120 worth of car cleaning gear (car wash, mits, shammy) and various waxes (Zymol) wax and spray. Also free touch up paint. (Also have to wait for new stock)

Question. The dealer told me the factory tint for the back windows are just dark color tints and not UV tints...trying to sell me the expensive tint they offer.

Either way, I am not paying for the dealer to tint the windows.

Also, for 2015, if you paid for the $900 pre collision system, do you get the radar cruise control also?

Thanks for the pic. We finally get to see a real-world shot of Vortex Blue. It's lighter than I expected, but a youthful vibrant color sure to attract some buyers.

As for the PCS, it does come bundled with DRCC in the US as per Lexus.com for MY '15. It makes sense since it utilizes the same radar hardware mounted behind the L logo in the grille.

Thanks for the answer Corrado. I am extremely happy with the car.
Any thoughts on the statement that the factory tints are just color tint and not at all UV protectant? Not even sure how to check that. But I will ask a tint installer to use a tint checker to validate.

In any case, this is our first Lexus and I am officially a member! Woohoo! Reading the manuals all weekend long.

Also discovered that the Samsung S6 will fit into the qi charger but only without any type of covers.

Even a very thin silicone cover would not fit and hence would not charge.

I found a spec sheet from the Lexus newsroom on the '16 (attached) and it has this listed:
• UV-reducing glass used for all windows

Thanks Jim, awesome. I thought it was BS, this confirms it. The guy was really hard selling everything, the usual Zylon, under carriage protection, tint, extended Warranty etc.

Now to schedule for tinting the rest of the windows and sunroof.

congratulation to your new NX; color looks really sharp !

I think I saw your car last week right at where you took your picture.

I'm thinking to get a NX200t FWD but wonder how much I have to spend? Is it reasonable to get like $2,500 below msrp? Mahalo!

You can always try to haggle with Servco, and also depends on which NX package you are looking for. I have friends who bought RXs in the past and got as much as $3000 off, but those are model year end sales. As for the NX, Lexus made a mistake with my order that is why I got the $1000 off. Let me know how you do. You've been a Lexus owner a lot longer that I have.

There were NX200ts for $41K and that is with Nav, but nothing else.

Here is my Vortex blue NX300h under different light.

This is my favourite colour of all the NX

I think the white is too ordinary.
I dont think the red looks nice on the NX
personally I would go for the meteor blue....

the silver ish colour looks nice too.

you meant you get $1,000 off MSRP or an additional $1,000 off plus $???? off MSRP because of the mistake.

They took off $1000 from 2015 MSRP.

Also, I was walking around Alamonana last night and I saw the original NX that came in as my "order". It is parked right across Shirokiya as a Lexus Advertising. It is listed around $42K. Its NX200T, Meteor blue with flaxen interior. Also has sunroof and Nav.
You can probably get discount off that since they have had it for over two months and they are certainly paying interest on it already.
Go check it out.
