RX Headlight Housings replaced on extended warranty
Got headlight housings on 2007 RX 400h replaced by Lexus of Clearwater (FL.) today under extended warranty. I found out about the problem of condensation inside headlight housings in this forum. It turns out I am only two months out from the end of the secondary extended warantee. THANK YOU!
Astonishing service from an automobile company NINE YEARS after the car went into use.
By way of comparison, I recall trying to get warranty service on a Honda CRV component which had failed enroute from my home to a neighboring state. I missed the mileage cut off by 70+\- miles due to the fact that there was no nearby Honda dealership. Service manager seemed to relish telling me that I was s.o.l. No recourse through corporate, just a robotic response about how they couldn't possibly help me. Contrast with Lexus could not have been more stark.
