Default LS600hL battery question

Question for LS600 owner

Usually how many bars does the hybrid battery show on screen? Just bought one and on start up it usually very low then after a few min. of driving it up a few bars. Max is always two bars below max. Should I be concern?

Thanks

This is normal, mine does the same. Here in my suburb the speedlimit is 20Mph so the car goes into EV-mode. The range on EV-mode is only about 2 or 3 miles so the ICE will start to recharge the HV battery.
On the highway the car should charge the HV battery up to 1 or 2 bars below max. It NEVER reaches "full"
