Did a 206 mile R/T today in my 2021 RX450h. All but 16 miles were on interstates. 32 degrees when we headed out. Low 40s at our destination. Mid-40s on the return. Sunny, little wind. Kept my speed to the legal limit on the interstates (mostly 55-65 mph). Overall MPG: 34.5. Now averaging about 30.5 MPG since purchase in early January.
2020 RX450h fill up at 1052 miles 3/5/21. Traveled 322 miles, all city, short trips, cold weather 40 to 60 degrees F. 28.3 mpg calculated. The RX said 26.7 mpg. Filled up with QuikTrip Premium.
You should always calculate your mpg as the onboard system is not always accurate.
We do 28-29 mpg in city or highway. It doesn’t seem to matter. Always have used 87 octane gas.
I'd say that's pretty good for a 2015. The batteries have improved a bit in the last 6 model years, and tweaks to the engine and transmission have also helped.

I agree. Interestingly, my actual MPG is consistently a bit higher than the onboard reading. My overall, actual MPG suffers from a number of short runs in cold weather. Our supermarket, for example, is only 2 miles away. That should improve as we escape the deep freeze we have been in the last two months.
Just returned from visiting family in Virginia. Got 39 MPG on the return. Nearly perfect conditions: temps in the 60s; clear skies; only a slight wind. After the first 1,525 miles, I'm averaging almost 32.8 MPG - has improved greatly with warmer weather.
DocRock Be sure to estimate the fuel in the tank when you purchased the RX and add that to the gallons used. Excellent MPG! I alway calculate manually and add to my Fuelly account.

As you may note from the pic, I started with a full tank of gas when we took delivery with 25 miles on the odo (I actually went with the salesperson to gas it up - just across the street from the dealership). I have logged each subsequent refueling on Road Trip Lite (a free iPhone App). I always disconnect the nozzle when it clicks off. So, the calculated MPG is always from full tank to full tank (no partial refills).
The MPG is most impressive on long highway runs.
Most of the time, I have refueled at the same Costco. And, yes, I always use 93 octane.

I’m sorry, but I’m not buying 39 mpg out of a 4700 lb vehicle. 32 I can believe, but not 39. The average mpg of the 450h is between 24-28 mpg Highway. Your mileage isn’t even close.
There are 9 other drivers (out of 221) of Base RX 450h's who are reporting an average MPG of 33 or greater. That's 4%. Not zero. Two are reporting an average MPG of 45!

One of those two was a flat out lying troll on here. I’m certainly not saying you are lying. Statistically, you are an anomaly & not a mainstream representative of what to expect. It is what it is.
Several automotive publications have performed mpg tests by driving at 55 mph vs. 70 mph or trying to hypermile. It’s all a bunch of crap when you become a hazard to others on the road by driving way below the speed limit or by saving 50 cents or a Dollar per tank. That’s not how the normal person drives.

Keep changing your story as I report facts, not opinion. BTW, I'd rather be in the Top 5% in fuel economy rather than the Bottom 5%. Even if I am not a "normal" person. The Bottom 5% isn't "normal," either.
