Default LS600h L AWD Staggered wheels?

I have a 2009 LS600 with AWD, and i would love to roll on a set of 22" MRR HR3, but my local Lexus workshop said that i cant have wider wheels in the rear than in the front because of the AWD system.
Does anybody here have more knowledge of this?

You should edit your post and say your thinking of putting on a set of 19's and you will get much more replies

They see 22 inch wheel here and they cringe

As far as I know its not the width that is the problem, its the overall height/diameter of the wheels

The height of the front wheels has to match the height of the rears or the system might sense something is off

Also try to make sure your 22's with the low profile tires are as close in height as the stock wheels with the larger sidewall tires , and the widths shouldn't matter

As long as the wheels fit and have the correct offset, you must then match the rolling radius of the front and rear tires or it puts strain on the transfer case.

Front sounds about perfect, rear seems a little aggressive, if you plan to lower it.
