Tire pressure monitor faulting
Does anyone else have a problem with their tire pressure monitoring system failing on a weekly basis for a few minutes and then returning to normal?
This would be on a '13 450h. More annoying than a real problem but just wondering if there are batteries that need to be replaced or something else that could be causing this.

Do you have to keep inflating or the monitor shows warning signs and goes away to come back at a later time? If it is on the blink and your monitor tells you the pressure is on the low side, then just inflate the tire(s).

tus, have you checked the tire pressure readout using the control on the steering wheel? That would help rule out a defective sensor. But it sounds like the cold tire pressure is at the TPMS alert point. Then the light turns off as the tire pressure rises while driving. You might want to try resetting TPMS. First get the cold tire pressure to where you want it, bump all tires up another 2 psi, hit the reset switch under the steering wheel, and then return the tire pressure down to the normal level. That would give you about a 4 psi window. If that fails, it might require a visit to the dealer. Hopefully you're still under warranty. Good luck.

Basically it's loosing contact with one or more of the sensors. When going through the display it shows a message saying the tire pressure monitor needs service.
