My 2008 RX400h did not come with a Home Link Remote I think I need to program my mirror button to open my garage door. How/where do i get one?

 

HomeLink buttons for the 2008 400h are in the console in the ceiling. The button on the mirror just turns the compass and dimming on & off. See pages 67, 287 & 292:

Not sure how you'd get the HomeLink buttons if your 400h didn't come with them. A console swap may be possible.

 

My console has these buttons. So how/where do I get a remote in order to program in my garage's code?

 

I didn't know they were not in all RX400H vehicles? Mine has 3 buttons, we programed 2 for the two different homes and one button for the gate. Very easy to program and they ahve worked perfectly.

 

Mine has the buttons but no remote.

 

I hope you have found the answer by now. But in case you haven't, here is the answer.

The remote is the remote that came with the garage door opener. What the programming process does is get the car to clone the remote that came with the garage door opener.
