Thanks Nate. Understanding more and glad there are no belts to wear out.
Would still ill love to see a cut away model of this tranny somewhere but have not found one as of yet.
Love the 450h, the smooth power of the electric motors really kicks in when you need it, even at highway speeds.
My poor LX sits in the garage with a trickle charger on it while the RX have all the fun.

Don't summarily dismiss the notion of searching for information in the earlier generation RXh forums (or those of the Prius, for that matter), as there's a familial evolution that may help you learn about your car.
