There is a Toyota Battery that fits 100% and is 3 amp more
it looks exactly the same but has a Toyota sticker instead of the panasonic sticker
cost 130 dollars in Norway , probably cheaper in US
it should be the
TOYOTA 28800-YZZJA 12V 65Ah-590A BCI-570A EN
It fits European lexus GS 450H 2013-
I am sure there is an similar battery at Toyota US
The Lexus guy just walked into the Toyota department and got one, guess its pretty common battery
It is also used on the GT86 as replacement

Our car uses an AGM battery with a vent on the side. In Europe they use that battery in the Toyota 86, but in the USA they just use a regular lead acid battery not AGM.
Most off the shelf battery's with at least the same capacity and CCA don't fit the stock battery tray. Toyota/Lexus made a weird size battery for our car.
I ended up going with a larger diehard battery and modifying my battery tray to fit. See my post here and scroll down.

hmm
I wonder if one of the Camry hybrid uses the "same" battery, not the latest but the 2007-2011
Toyota Part No.: 28800-28060 or 28800-28090
now replaced by 28800-28061
I might remember incorrectly since its a long time since I was searching for a replacement , but could be worth looking into

The terminal cables are short so I don't think it will reach if you flipped the battery around. The reason for this is because the Camry has the battery in the passenger side of the trunk(same with the Prius) and the GS has it on the driver side. The Camry battery is actually the same price or more than the lowest price OEM GS 450h battery I found online. The European battery cost almost 1/3 the price of the GS or the Camry battery here in the USA. The point here was to find a lower priced alternative battery. Toyota/Lexus is making a killing with these battery's here in the USA.

Hmm
that really sucks
I think the battery for lexus is type Korean B1+B6 hold down adapter , and ETN0 for polarity
only alternative can think that might fit (i dont have the size measurements of the original battery) is varta and maybe exide
Not sure if Varta is sold in the US :-/
https://www.varta-automotive.com/en-...ic/570-412-063 70AH
https://www.varta-automotive.com/en-...ic/560-410-054 60AH (maybe this one)
worth to verify from exide/Sonnak is ; their
Sonnak power line and super line range has batteries from 60 to 75 AH with same polarity and hold down adapter support
with the range from 60-75 there could be many tweaks to get the physical size right
their battery finder comes up with 75Ah
SONNAK Powerline PART #:SA754
SONNAK Superline PART #:SB704
but these could be to big physically , need to measure, they are also available in 60 -70 AH versions
Exide have many brands now , but i am not able to search for batteries with US location on....
I know that a guy in Australia was able to find a battery the did fit well, and this battery was meant for Mobility/wheelchair equipment
that really sucks

How old are your batteries? My 450H was manufactured in Sept 2012 and sat in the showroom until I bought it on 1/10/2014. The record only showed the battery being recharged a few times, no record of it being replaced. It is now 5 1/2 years that I have had it and another 1 1/2 years before. That is almost 7 years and still going strong. Is this normal or is it ready to die any day?

Yeah no warnings, month before I had the car parked for 3 weeks started up perfectly. I think with this AGM type battery eventually a cell will die and the battery just goes kaput. This battery runs all the electrical systems when the car is off, it doesn't power a starter to turn the motor over, the hybrid system does that. That's probably the reason why it lasts so long, it's not under any heavy load.
I would just replace it, 7 years you know it's going to go out sometime in the next few months. My car has almost 100k miles, 2013 450h, built in 2012. Your not saving yourself anything waiting till the last day of this battery. Especially this being a weird size/AGM type battery that's not easy to find aftermarket, your options are very limited.
At my local Lexus dealership it would cost about $400 with tax for the original battery, that's why I modified the battery tray to fit other battery sizes. Saved myself a couple hundred dollars.
You could load test it at any auto parts store, but even if it passes it could just die tomorrow.

Thanks! I will replace it next week. Hopefully the dealer has one in stock. If they last 7 years I have no complaints on price. Wow , 100,000 miles. Any issues especially with the main battery? I only have 42,000 miles so am hoping I will never have to worry about that one.

Also if you get the oem battery you know you don't have to worry about it for 6-7 years.
