Default Rear Splash Shield fasteners

How many and what kind of fasteners are need to attach the rear splash shield on my 2008 RX400h? When I bought it the rear splash shield was missing. Ordered one but need your info on fasteners.

Thanks
Tommy

Safely bet they will be same as the front end ones plus some screws with washers. Usually in the corners.

I will check when I get a chance.. just too cold to play under the car right now. I could have sold you my splash guards.. I had to take them off for the hitch.

Where is the rear splash shield located? Thought it was just behind the front one under the bumper. (
Thanks

Are you talking about a splash guard at the back of the car or near the engine bay? What part number did you order. If you are talking about the back of the car there are two. (One on each side) held up by clips and philips screws(about 4 per side) this video shows one side.
.note that these splash guard is more cosmetic than utility (one may argue it prevents rust)

Tommy,
I was thinking of a the wrong part! You are talking about the engine rear splash shield in the picture (instead of the rear of the vehicle)

The part# you reference is the front shield. If your are talking about the rear one in the picture it should be part# 51442-48021

Now here is the kicker.. There is no rear engine shield.. I just crawled under mine. Checking out the post on oil change the other person does not have the rear one either, see page 4 of the PDF. ( I think the picture you referenced is wrong (maybe for the 350?) It has the front shield you listed but not the rear shield. The front one gets in bad condition quickly just from oil changes (need to remove/bend out of the way)

OK I was wrong.. there is a rear engine cover.. There is a front one that you take off for oil changes, then there is a large gap. just past the wheels there is another cover. I would never see it from the side of the car. my bad

Thanks. Do you have to remove it to do a CVT gearbox oil change?

No you do not.. I did mine and never noticed that splash guard! The car has a eCVT, (sorta like a cvt but not really..)

To answer your original question. There are 2 bolts and 2 screw/bolts on retainer clips. the first being about 1/2 in long and the latter is about 1in. Both can be removed using a 10mm
