ES300h Radar Detector Wire Tap Help Request
Hello All,
This looks like a great forum and thanks for allowing me to join. Proud 1st time Lexus owner of a '17 ES 300h. Ok perhaps not the sportiest car I've ever had, but amazing on fuel and ideal for long trips. That said, I encounter far too many red light cameras and the like, and just upgraded to Uniden's new radar detector. I don't care for the coiled cord and wish to hardwire into the rearview mirror with simple 2 wire red and black combo. Any guidance/comments on which connector's wires and which colors to marry red and black to would be awesome, as I have it taken apart and [stubbornly] hoping to get it wrapped up today if possible. Photos attached of my tap and the suspected points of attachment. Thank you! -Tim
Its of 2 white clips looking up to right of rearview mirror. Also there are 3 wires beneath the black rain sensor, yellow, green, black with white stripe
2nd of 2 white clips here..
