Did anyone purchase the extended scheduled maintenance plan for their preowned Lexus?
Is the prepaid scheduled maintenance plan a good deal? I drive about 7,000 miles a year. I just purchased a CPO 2015 ES300H with 24K miles. The additional 3 year maintenance plan is $1530. This would give me a total of 5 years scheduled maintenance. Would this save money even if I had all or most of the maintenance done at Toyota dealer?

It is a fantastic deal...for the dealership. For you, not at all.
I get my maintenance work done at the local Toyota dealer. Typical annual maintenance (with driving about 7500 miles per year) includes just an oil change and a tire rotation. At the Toyota dealer, I pay $41 for the full synthetic oil change (with a $10 coupon that is always available) and $10 for the tire rotation. At 30,000 mile intervals, I have the brake fluid replaced for about $100. That amounts to about $150 for a typical 3 year period or $250 if the brake fluid replacement falls within a 3 year period. When you get to much higher mileage on the odometer, there are a few additional maintenance items, but, even when you get to that point, you shouldn't come close to paying $1530 for required maintenance in any 3 year period.

You don't buy your groceries years in advance and pay for them all today (or worse yet, add them to a loan or lease).

Brake fluid replacement on the ES300h is a lot more than the $100 for the ES350. It takes a few hours and needs a hookup to a diagnostic computer to bleed individual calipers. Can't remember how much but I think it cost me $200-300.

Regardless of cost whether $100 or $400, I don't and never will see the point of prepaying for maintenance. Pay it as you go.

Even if the cost of replacing the brake fluid on an ES300h is higher than it is on an ES350, since replacing the brake fluid only needs to be done at 30,000 mile or 3 year intervals, the total cost of recommended maintenance for a 300h over a 3 year period will still only be a relatively small fraction of the $1530 cost of the 3 year pre-paid maintenance contract.

I have ES300 h and last time I changed the brake fluid it cost me at the dealership $120 and the car was returned to me an hour later. Not sure why the discrepancy between the dealer here and in China.

Found my old service receipts and it cost me $150. They don't call 'em stealerships for no reason... So yes, the ES300h brake fluid change costs more but it's still not worth paying $1500.The great thing about the ES is that it has a lot of Camry parts and servicing can be done at any Toyota workshop. Buy air filters, wipers and cabin filters online and use an independent workshop to save a ton of money.
