I've had extremely good luck buying from China (including knock-offs, etc). I was chastised a fair bit when I bought four non-air shocks for my LS from China at 120 bucks or so. They were on my car for over two years and 40k miles or so and had no issues. My theory was, that even if they only lasted a year or so, I couldn't really lose. Everyone was convinced that they would dissolve in the rain, or explode into a billion molten pieces, killing everyone within the blast radius. I wouldn't hesitate to get those air shocks.

Ive also done well with Chinese stuff

On my supercharged z06 I ran Chinese tires and had ZERO issues of any kind

People need to realize nearly ALL of the name brand parts they buy are "made in china" sometimes you can buy these marked as "unbranded" and save a ton of money

Just be a smart shopper

Exactly. I think my last 6 sets of tires on our cars have been Chinese. Currently running a set of Winter tires from China. Never an issue...and I drive A LOT. Same with almost all my car parts....water pumps, suspension bushings/arms, shocks, etc.

A lot of people mistakenly think their purchases are made in Canada (or US), because of the recognized name brand, but are in fact made in China. Or, it says "designed in USA" or "assembled in USA", or "engineered in USA", but in fact 100% of the product is Chinese.

Have a look at the siping on these tires. I've never seen anything like that on a tire before. Haven't had any snow to try them yet, but reviews are good.

My wife has Westlake Winters on her CT200 and they have performed exceptionally well.

On my previous LS, I ran Champiro Icepro. Also an excellent snow tire. My Summers were a Falken FK452 which were discontinued and bought out by another company in China (same tire...different name). Also excellent tires.
