2008 LS600hl budget friendly front/rear bumper upgrades?
Hello, I just picked up a beautiful 2008 LS600hl and have been incessantly looking at ways to bring up the appearance, 20 inch rims on the way, doing some work to clean up rust on axle hubs, planning on wrapping it as well. I was planning to do something with the front bumper but the problem is bodykits from Wald and others are ridiculously expensive. I don't understand how one can pay $4-$5k for a bumper although I have to admit they look sick. Most of the products in the forums look like they are out of stock or discontinued with the exception of the official Wald and Artisan Spirits products which at that point might be better to get another car to be honest. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Edit: I was looking at the Artisan Spirits Verse line, seems like a much better option than the Wald. Are there any recommended must-haves for a LS600H L? Was thinking of adding a datasystems controller but not sure if it will be necessary running 20 inch wheels?

Wald & Artisan are both great options... u may also find preowned kits.. if price is a concern.. but quality costs... I've seen a TON of cheap kits with poor fitment.. the savings u get on buying cheap disappears in bodywork costs....

Thanks for the info, not planning on selling the rims, will keep as winter tires. This should be a lot of fun. Only thing I'm worried about are the sensors not working with some aftermarket bumpers. Would suck to lose the parking assist so might just go with a front bumper sans the rear bumper. In many ways this car looks better than the 2013 refresh. Much more old school cool than the aggressive styling on the 2013.

Went with the conversion front bumper, it's going to be a lot of work and extra $ to buy the fog lamps, grille, and "fog trim" separately but I'm absolutely in love with the idea of having a 2013 f-sport grille on the 2008 ls. If that is possible that is. The regular grille is really nice too but with the f-sport grille the front end can't get any better in my opinion. Only option that looks better (imo) is the Wald front apron for the 2013 model but that's a whole different level of $. The 2013 headlights look a tad small on the LS compared to the big ones on the 2008. With the wide 2008 headlights it's a perfect balance to offset the already aggressive look from the spindle grille imo.
