I just picked up my new ES300h Luxury today (decided to trade in my 2021 Avalon which didn’t have the issue with the seats). Very nice! Anyway, before I decided to buy it I drove the other ES models to make sure they didn’t have the same seat issue. What I found out is that the Luxury sets of the hybrid model don’t seem to have the seat issue that the premium or base models do. I actually drove a Luxury trim of the ES350 and was not sure about that seat. So I decided to buy the Luxury ES300h. Drove my new car 100 miles home today from the dealer and no issues. The seats are firm but no Issues with the “bar”. So far all is well! I’ll post again if things change.

Just bought my 2019 coming from a 2016.
I am sitting on a metal bar that I can’t figure out how to position so I’m not on it.
it is literally a metal bar I think.
any ideas or solutions others did?
Did Lexus ever admit to it and fix?

I don't believe Lexus ever developed a fix for it, a few owners of later years have the same complaint. It's not a safety issue either so there's no recall on it.
