Smile 2019 Lexus ES300H Takumi

Hey Guys,

2019 IS owner here, I recently was at my local dealer and they had the top spec ES300h Takumi. That car looked amazing & the tech was unreal!
The car even had powered heated rear seats!
I made a video on the car as it was unreal the amount of tech you get on the ES.

Yeah, but the mirrors look broken on that one. All folded in unnatural like.

What do yours look like when folded manually?

I was trying to use sarcasm on the Internet to express my displeasure that the US model does not have power retracting mirrors.

I guess I'll hold off till the us spec gets these options. No reason why the US spec doesn't get heated rear and reclining seats. Hopefully the cameras for mirrors like the JDM model.

I have no idea why Lexus would have chosen to keep heated rear and reclining seats out their biggest market for Lexus. I can buy a damn Kia or Hyundai for less with these features.

I thought the non-reclining/non-folding rear seats on the ES were due to the large cross brace behind the rear seat to give the car extra stability. I guess the non-us versions do not have that brace?

The brace disallows rear folding seats, not reclining.

So they get the brace and reclining? Dammit! I thought I had them on that one.

If the es had those features I would have no reason to go Kia k900, other than the rear acoustic glass and v8 with rear wheel drive.

I mean you can buy a k900 with everything the way has and more for 28k with less than 30k miles and certified pre-owned.
