Default How can you set the date?

I was messing around with Energy produced panel and noticed a date in lower right side of the screen. It showed June of 2017.

Does any one know how to make it current?

If you're talking about the Past Record screen it's not meant to be the current date. It's the start date of the record.

We only have one bar/record with the date being our delivery date (when we hit Clear). However, the manual shows multiple bars/records with different dates. In other words, we only have 6 in the image below and we don't have anything for 5.

It's not totally clear to me from reading the manual but I'm guessing that:
  • Update would start a new record in 6 with the date you hit Update and save the current record into 5.
  • Clear would remove all records and start a new record in 6 with the date you hit Clear.

After rereading my post it occurred to me that my message was a bit vague, but kudos to takeshi74 who not only understood my question but also posted the much needed picture.

I also have ONE bar showing with an old data and an old date below it and a statement "today".

With the useful post by takeshi74 I have now something to digest.

I am still confused as to how the actual date is entered and kept current. Mystery!

The Driver Information Center by the Speedometer has a couple of different MPG fields to toggle through.
Tank Average (After Refueling on some models) and Average. Tank Average resets itself
every time you tank up so has a few hundred mile sample. Average will accumulate up to 9999 miles
and is reset by pressing the Steering Wheel Enter (White Dot on some models) Button.

When you reset the Average you will see the Center Screen this thread is discussing move over one graph column.
Navigation equipped cars will display the date that you reset while non-Nav cars are labeled Trip 1, 2, 3.
We reset ours DIC Average at every Season change, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. As the graph
progresses we end up with a year and a half of results which clearly show that cold = less MPG's!
