Hi,

I am based in Dubai and i was about to purchase LS600hL 2012 model - done 286,000 Kms (177k miles). The car is agency maintained with full service history.
I would like to know what areas should i concentrate while i go for a car detailing. I am confused with Hybrid vehicle complaints like the battery life.

Please let me know the common complaints with LS600hL and let me know opinion to buy this car for AED 60k (16k USD)

16K seems high for a car with 177000 miles. 13-14 K would be reasonable. If the car is still running on the original hybrid battery, you could be looking to replace it soon at a hefty price. If the air suspension is still the original equipment, that could also fail anytime requiring expensive parts. Considering these potential expenses, I would stay away from this car.

I can negotiate with he seller for this price but i would like to know the price of hybrid battery ?
And for the air suspension is it the same with LS460L ? We have a dedicated spare market for LS 430 & 460 here in Sharjah where i can find cheap parts. but LS600hL is very rare.

 

All the more reason to stay away from it, or you could be looking at very expensive repairs.

 

The battery is more in the range of $5,600 plus tax. I can't find any place that sell cheaper. Online dealer won't ship battery so I had to buy from local dealer. this not include labor charge, Had my nephews change it for me.
