Default How long did your OEM tires last on NX300H?

Hi everyone,

My wife has a 2017 NX300H at 18,000 miles bought new. She has recently reported the SUV "slipping and sliding" in the wet and rain a few times now on different days. Prior to this the car has had solid traction.

I have to check what tires came with the car, it sounds like the tires are toast.

How long did you OEM tires last on your NX300H before it needed replacement?

I bought a CPO with the Michelin Primacy Mxm4 tires. Lexus replaced two of the tires at 33k prior to purchase while the other two passed the depth test, still a bit to go before hitting the indicator bump.

Do the dime test, if you can see the top of the head, you need new tires. Normally, tires should last more than 17000 miles but it really depends on the usage. Make sure the tires are around 30-35 psi, overinflated tires can cause traction issues.

Thanks, I'll do the test tonight. Mostly highway commuting miles.

Still trying to see the exact tire that came with the NX. All I can see is Michelin Green X, but can't seem to find the exact product name.

Probably the MICHELIN PRIMACY MXM4, Those tires should last longer than 17000 miles. Don't forget to check the tire pressure.

On my 2017 NX200t Michelin Primacy MXM4 were replaced at 35K miles due to one tire blowout (my fault). The tires still had 5/32 tread left. I expected these tires to last till 40-45K, and I drive somewhat aggressive.

We changed ours at just under 40 K. Not much wear left to the wear bars. We had the Yokohama’s. We have the NX200T.

We got about 32,000 miles on the OEM Michelins. We replaced them with Pirelli P7 Cinturatos from Tire Rack. Getting really good wear on the P7's.

My wife's '17 NX200t had the stock Yokahamas - had to replace at 22000 miles for the same reason you described - getting squirrelly in the rain. They were worn evenly - we ended replacing with Michelins.
