Default Ls600hl

ALL, Even though I have owned 8 Lexus Vehicles I have never joined this site/forum. So here is my first. My recently purchased LS600hl all of a sudden delivered weird messages on the dashboard such as SRS Airbag ..... and brake engaged, but it wasn't. The first time this happened everything lit up on the dashboard. Clearly it was malfunctioning but the car started and it performed fine while driving it. A couple of starts later no problem but then it died and it will not do anything. Thoughts?

the Year is 2012. Also do you have to go to dealer to get battery?

Sounds like a bad battery to me. But it could also be a failing alternator or bad connections.

What is your mileage? did you notice hard starting (like, weak battery) after the car sits for a period of time?

lastly, it might be parasitic drain of your battery, which can be confirmed using a volt multimeter and pulling fuses.

wouldn't think so. autozone? but as mentioned, best to post these kinds of questions in the ls600 forum. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...2007-2017-178/

Take it to Autozone (or equivalent) and have the battery load tested. The voltage level could be fine, but it may not be providing the necessary amperage any more.

Welcome. Yes first thing is head to Autozone and see if your battery is dead or on the way. If that's the case, then for about $140 you'll be good to go.

It does sound like a battery issue to me too. That would be a good starting point, although the LS600hL 12v batteries are not cheap by any means, as they are a bit more complicated than a normal battery. I think they cost more like $300-400. But if it solves your problems, well worth it!
