New engine installed - ran for 10 minutes - now won't start
Posted about this car back in May 2020.
Engine was blown.
Over the past 3 months I've slowly taken it apart and put everything back together with a new engine.
Reconnected the 12v battery and installed the hybrid disconnect.
12volt battery is new in May, Panasonic bought from the Lexus dealer - (I got raped!)
Hybrid battery was replaced in May and has a 59.5% charge.
Pushed the Start button and it started.
Backed it out of the garage so the exhaust wouldn't overwhelm us. It drove backward and forward.
Ran for 10 minutes and then it ran out of gas.
Put gas in it, but it wouldn't start again.
Got a "put in park to start" message just above the odometer.
Flashing triangle, check engine light, all of the warning lights.
No crank
I think its the 12 volt battery but have had both Autozone and Advanced Auto parts test it and they said its good.
When I try to start the car and run the diagnostic codes, the battery drops to 50-60% capacity in just 15-20 minutes.
Codes P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input)
Other code was B2281 - P signal malfunction
Really frustrated that there is no guidance in the service manual about how to solve/troubleshoot these codes - just has them listed!
I'm focused on getting this car running so I can move on to something else.
Thanks in advance for your help.

What was wrong with the original engine. The 3.5 can last way past 260k miles.
Anyway since you have a decent 12v battery and traction battery I cant see why the car wont start.
I ran out of gas on my car 3 times and everytime it buckles and shakes when it happens. One time it wouldnt start and I had to go home and get my laptop to erase the codes, through Techstream before I could restart the car. This should also work if you have a hand held scanner that can erase codes, do this before you try to restart the car.
