I was curious about how the engine startups on the hybrid should affect oil changes after seeing a recent thread about oil changes. During my regular commute I would estimate that 25-33% of my driving is in EV all battery mode. With that comes the shutdown and startup of the gas engine, I usually change the oil myself at 7,500 miles. With the more frequent shutdown and startup of the 2.5 gas engine, is there additional wear and tear on the gas engine?
