Default LS 600HL CNA Warranty + Private Seller

ALL,

I'm in the process of searching out a 2010 to 2013 LS 600H L and after contacting CNA Warranty company, I was told consumers can not purchase warranty directly from them but must get them from the dealership where the car is purchased.

I'm looking at two car which both are privately owned, is there any way to get a CNA Warranty when the car has been purchase from a private seller?

On another note, I"m in the market for a well maintained LS 600H L 2010 and newer so let me know if you are looking to get out of your 600 and move on to a Tesla . Your car will be well treated and looked after. I love these Unicorn cars, I actually owned a 05 VW Phaeton which I loved until a high school kid ran into the back of it and totaled it out.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide

Andre

I was lucky, I was able to find one in California with only 32K miles for $18K and the car was in very good condition. I was also able to get a bumper to bumper no deductible warranty from VW so ownership wasn't that bad.

Now I want to try the LS 600HL and see how it compares to the Phaeton because the Phaeton was built on the Bentley Flying Spur chassis with a Audi V8, air suspension, and AWD.

The previous owner of my 600 acquired it from a Chevy dealer in Nebraska. He then bought a CNA warranty from an unaffiliated GM dealer in Georgia. Apparently, the Georgia dealer no longer offers it though. The only suggestion that I have is to just start contacting dealers until you find one that sells CNA. It runs in my mind though that Florida may have some special provision that warranties can be sold only in state, so you might check on that too.

All,

For those who maybe reading this thread for information on CNA Extended Warranties sold directly to consumers via Jeff Traynham, WalkerJones dealership. I spoke with Jeff Trayham on 5 Dec 2020 who was recommend on this forum as a good source for getting extended warranties, he stated he no longer can sell extended warranty to consumer who do not purchase the car from his dealership. If you need more information from him, below is all his contact information:

You might check on Florida law, Andre, as my understanding is that warranties bought by residents must be sold in-state.

TriC, I think you are correct about the in-state Florida law because I contacted the CNA Warranty company and they referred me to Anderson Subaru here in Pensacola Florida and I was able to give me a quote for a warranty. I just wanted to shop the quote he gave me to insure there wasn't a better price on the "Automotive Preferred Care + Plus" warranty.

I don't know if he can sell to people outside of Florida but you can call Paul Simpson, Anderson Subaru @ 850-712-8464 to inquiry.

I'm also awaiting a call from Pen Air Federal Credit Union here in Pensacola. Pen Air sells the Route 66 extended warranty and I want to see if they are now covering Air Struts and Hybrid battery systems because someone posted back in the past they did not cover Air Struts. I will document my findings in this thread for future reference of others searching for up to date information on extended warranties for our beloved LS 600H L.

Route 66 website: https://web.route66warranty.com/index.aspx
