This may not be the right group but if you know the answer, it will be greatly appreciated.
How do you connect the charger to the hybrid car battery which sits in the trunk? I have a 2019 ES300H. The battery drained after a month in the garage. I plan to use a Deltran Battery Tender Power plus 3 A to charge it. The car’s manual doesn’t have much except “be sure to disconnect the ground cable”. I called local Lexus dealer and was told to just “connect the positive (of the charger) to the positive (of the battery), and negative to negative”. I’m now at a loss b/c of the discrepancy.

You'd have to purchase a grid charger device like what they sell over at https://hybridautomotive.com/ and if you do purchase it, it's not really designed for being plugged in for long periods like a trickle charger would on the 12v battery.

Due to COVID shutdown, I haven’t driven the car for weeks and now it won’t start. I need advice how to recharge the 12V battery with a Deltran Battery Tender Power plus 3 A.

Thanks for responding so quickly. Sorry, I didn't make it clear. The battery is 12 V. It's in a compartment in the trunk below the carpet. I believe that's where many Lexus hybrid cars have their 12V Batteries.
