The other day I moved our rx450 Out of the driveway. With intentions of moving back shortly.... so I left fob on front seat. Well.... I guess I am getting old because I apparently never moved it back. The next day my wife wanted to use the vehicle and the car was non-responsive. The fob was still on front seat and she says car was left in drive....
car locks do not respond to fob at all and power switch does not activate any dash lights.
Help. did some security immobilization kick in? How do I get vehicle operational again?

You probably drained the 12 volt battery. Get it checked and hopefully it just needs a charge. If it is the original battery (they do last a long time) you may have killed it and will have to replace it.
If it was my RX I would just go buy a new 12 volt battery. I forget, but it may be a dealer only item for the 450h. Check the hybrid side of this forum.

Try holding the key right next to the Start button as you press it. If no response, check the voltage at the 12v battery. You can either open the rear hatch and remove the covers to get to it or use the jump terminal at the fuse box in the engine bay next to the Inverter coolant (it’s under the engine bay covers).
You should be able to recharge with a trickle charger.
It only powers the car computers so it doesn’t get used much and lasts a long time.
If the battery is shot (fails a load test after a recharge), then an OEM battery is around $260-300. It’s the best option to go with on the RX450h as aftermarket options are either not the same shape or have weaker specs.
Good luck.

One of the things I had to learn was that you can walk away from the hybrid with the vehicle in "Ready" mode, because the ICE shuts down.
I am eager to learn if that is what happened, And did the vehicle die due to no more fuel.
My next step would be to disconnect 12v battery and reconnect [reset].

Safe bet, vehicle was left running in D mode and ran out of fuel. Or, fob, as it continuosly communicates with the vehicle, drained 12V. Hard to believe yet. Plus, in D mode, some other applications could have been left running. AC, fan, dash lights, etc.
Most likely, drained 12V..... jump start it.
