Default Wet carpet and P0AA6. Will it dry out Or will I have to replace main relay?

New to me RX 400 H has a P0AA6 code and wet carpet under the rear seats. I have read up on this, and seeing where it is recommended to replace the drain and main battery relay. I’m wondering if I open the battery up and replace the drain if the relay will dry out on its own Or will I have to replace it. It’s $400 at the Lexus dealer. By the way the prior owner replaced the relay about a year ago. They obviously never repaired the water leak. Will be checking the body seams back by the hatchback struts

Looks like I’m answering my own question here. I was successful in drying out the main battery relay after popping the top off the hybrid battery. I drilled some additional holes in the bottom of the battery tray and after lifting the battery slightly and propping it up with a 2 x 4, removed the drain plug which was clogged with debris from the deteriorating asphalt sound deadening sheets on the body floor. I cleaned and vacuumed all that debris out of course. Bottom line a couple afternoons of some careful work and I’m back on the road for zero expense.

Thanks to Paul Cortez at Art’s Automotive in California and his article about this that I found on the Internet and his being willing to communicate back-and-forth with me by email.
