My 2008 ES350 gauge says average MPG is 25.3 that never changes, am I doing anything wrong?

This is probably right for an ES350 as it’s not a hybrid.

If you are not resetting the MPG display it becomes a rolling average
of the last 9999 miles. If you commute pretty consistently it is likely
that the average would not change noticeably.
Try pressing the steering wheel button "Disp" to bring up MPG AVE
and then press and hold until it resets to 00.0. Drive a while and see
what you get.

Default MPG results and graphs

Tank MPG Average resets itself every time you refuel so it reflects a few hundred miles performance.
Average MPG is resettable by pressing the steering wheel button so you can pick and choose your data.

Reset for your stop and go morning commute and then reset for the speedy afternoon drive... compare those.
We reset every three months at the beginning of every season. Never go more than 9999 miles in 90 days
so this gives me up to six (6) seasons, a year and a half of history. Predictably MPG's go down in the winter (Chicago!).

Purchased the car Sept 2020.
