Crankling sound when EV is engaged

Hi there,

Hope you guys can help me with this annoying issue.
At low speed and right after the EV is engaged, I hear a crackling sound around the driver's seat, any ideas?

OK. So obviously you have an RX 450h as the 350 doesn’t have an EV mode, which is why some readers are confused by this reference. Now with that said, there is nothing around the drivers seat that engages when the vehicle transitions to EV mode. I suppose there could be relays in the dash that engage with EV mode and that sound may reflect around the footwell and sound like it’s coming from the front seat. I don’t have any specific advice as I have never experienced this with a hybrid and our RX is our 5th Toyota hybrid. I would take it to a dealer for an assessment.
