Default Nx350h - First 2 Week problems.

Hi, I have 1000km on my NX350h and the following I have noticed.

1. There’s a buzzing noise coming from the dash/instrument cluster if you put your ear near it when car is turned on. When driving with no music or AC you can hear from the natural driving position. Is your dash completely silent or can you hear this also?

2. Panoramic sunroof - judders about 2 seconds into opening. It doesn’t open smoothly like other vehicles. Have anyone noticed this with their new NX?

Thanks.

Not sure of your buzzing noise...

Your roof could be as simple as a lubrication issue. My old RX roof had a similar issue but after the dealer put some lube all the way down both sides of the track, she was smooth and worked perfectly.
You can open the roof and have a look yourself. Hopefully that's all it is.....

Yes, the dashboard there has buzzing noise randomly when the car starts to move, however, it disappears after while.
My car also has rattle in the rear under the boot..

Is this your first time driving a hybrid from Toyota/Lexus?
They have a hybrid acoustic noisemaker that sounds like buzzing to warn pedestrians at low speeds. It disappears after you go faster than 20mph.
As far as the panoramic sunroof goes, take it to your dealer while you can.

Sorry to bring this thread back. I have a 2021 RX (still under factory warranty) that’s having a similar issue. The rattling noise is coming from behind the sunroof (standard sunroof, not the pano one) on the passenger side, and seems to vary based on the outside temperature. I was finally able to show the dealer the issue in person, but they want an $832 diagnostic fee to move forward. If they don’t find an issue after removing the headliner (which they may not since the issue is so flaky), I’ll have to pay that. Otherwise, Lexus will cover it. Did anyone else have to pay this fee?

The buzzing noise you hear when you turn on the car, and it goes away right?

I'm pretty sure what you are hearing is the brake accumulator pump. It's essentially building up pressure to deploy later to use your conventional brakes. This is required because your brake peddle isn't directly connected to the brakes instead it is done by a computer and the pressure comes from this reservoir of pressure.
