nx450h+ clean air sticker CA (HOV) for 1
Curious for those of you who requested clean air sticker from CA DMV (single occupancy for HOV). What was your turn around? just mailed mine in

Scroll down to applying to CAV decals...
6 weeks...geeze, that's annoying. You'd think with everything they push to be online at the dmv this would be one of those items

Obviously I can't apply for this if I bought the car 2 weeks ago because well I don't have my plate yet, so once I get my plate I can then apply for it right?

Also, I checked my certificate dates and it was mailed back to me right about 45 days after they got my application.

Another thing to be aware of, you may need to request a new FastPass transponder. Years ago you'd just put your transponder on '3', but now all you get is a discount. Once you have the sticker you can ask for a new clean air transponder. Just found that out today.
Finally, I bought a small roll of PPF and stick my stickers on that, then put them on the car, will be easier to remove in a few years when they expire.

mine took a month. you don't have to put the stickers on your car. you need a new transponder and when you get the certificate you have to add that to fast track. at the same time I ordered black plates thinking they would be the same number. NOT! I now have to get a new certificate with the updated plate info. ugh

LA FYI-10 and 110 Fastrack lanes are discounted NOT free!
Hello Socal NXers with the carpool lane stickers. I love cruising high above traffic on the 110 in the carpool lane which I thought I was getting for free because of my low emission NX450+. As it turns out I was wrong. I just got clarification from the Fast Track office that now we HOV sticker people only get a 15% discount on the toll fees for the 10 and 110 not totally free. I was flabbergasted, dissapointed and ultimately let down again by California public policy. Let this serve as a warning fellow NXers that we still have to pay those LA tolls ($18 or so on 110 at rush hour), we just pay a little less.
