Symptoms of a bad Hybrid Battery for the LS600
I have noticed MPG has gone down, and it seems that my display shows I am constantly charging battery. Had my battery check by GreenTec, all banks showed ~14.7 V. Is my battery on its last legs?

you can test it with an obd reader and the dr prius app.

It's all about how you drive it and the environment it's in.
When I drive multiple short trips in winter the car is always trying to charge the battery and keep the exhaust system warm. My mileage for a tank can dip below 16 mpg in that case. But if I drive the car all day particularly on the highway it goes back up to mid to high 20mpg. I drove from LA to San Diego through 6 hours of stop and go traffic and the car got about 28 mpg. For a 5500 lb 400+ hp AWD beast that's unbelievable.
In the summer (or in Palm Springs) once the car warms up I amazed how much time it spends in EV mode. I drive about 5500 miles a year across 5 cars so most of the time it's short little trips so the computer reports my mileage as generally crap. FWIW in those cases my LS430 reports similarly bad mileage.
Try this:
You can also use the consumption gauge in the center screen to see more in real time what the mileage is like. Battery failure is possible but unlikely depending on the mileage and age of the car. My friend's prius had 160k miles on it when she traded it in at 15 years of age and it still got almost 50 mpg.

Try this:
- go buy a gallon or two of gas (this will reset the tank mileage)
- drive the car for about an hour
- see what it says.

pulled the trigger on a new battery
First, thanks for all the comments. $7000 for a brand new battery from GreenTec. Installation charge $250!!!!!!!! City Mileage immediately hopped to 20 from 15. I am now in EV mode whenever the speed limit is less than 40.

I just ordered mine for my 2011 LS600h L. Met with the Greentec Dallas team this morning and am going to get it done sometime in January. Looking forward to getting a bit of EV Mode back...

UPDATE: I am driving to Dallas in the morning and having my pack replaced at Greentec there. I will run Dr. Prius all the way up, take screen shots, and then run it all the way back and take more to compare results.
