NX450h experienced first big snow in Vancouver
29Nov my NX450h experienced the first big snow in Vancouver, google maps showed everywhere in red. Lots of people stuck hours in the highways and roads. I have purchased and installed all weather tires early to prepare this winter. Bless my NX have passed through the snow storm and brought me home safe. Tires are Kuhmo Solus HA32 4S SUV, and I am totally satisfied the performance of NX and my all weather tires under this kind of weather. Let's enjoy the video!

Glad you feel good driving it in the winter.
Vancouver getting hit with more snow than Toronto. Weather is changing.

Glad to hear your car performed well. I've got winters on my 350h out in the Fraser Valley. While I wasn't caught in the crazy traffic (woohoo for remote work), I did do some driving Wednesday and Thursday and it rode beautifully. It was nice occasionally watching the AWD animation on the 14" screen and seeing what the car was doing.
There's a time I took a turn, felt a slip and the car's computer stepped in immediately and controlled the situation. That was the only time. I've taken several turns quickly and sharply just to see what happens but it's performed exceptionally well in each of those situations.
I can't be happier with the car (and having actually winter tires)

Thanks for the great user report. I found it interesting how many car reviews pan the Rav4/NX AWD system vs a mechanical linkage design like the CRV in even typical snow and icy road conditions.
I think the electric rear motor with is a much simpler design without the clutches/transfer case is actually the superior design. And more efficient also. And they never seem to pan a BEV with it all electric AWD rear design.
BTW, I also run a similar all weather tire (Michelin Crossclimate2) in Colorado on 350h.

I experienced similar conditions... Last May when I was taking my maiden drive home from the dealership! We got 8" in the Denver area that day.

Also got hit by the Vancouver snow in my NX450h+, although with stock tires. The bridgestone stock tires are horrible in the snow. All the other cars that I used to drive with UHP All Seasons from Michelin and Continental was way more confidence inspiring. Luckily I lived quite close to work so didn't get caught up in the 10 hour traffic. Now I'm looking to swap to Michelins when they are in stock
Do you notice a difference in ride quality and range when you swapped to non run flats? (I'm guessing they're non run flats).

Once my runflats wear out, I'm switching to regular radial tires. I already have a tire pump and repair kit in the car. That will be good enough for punting around town. I have roadside assistance for long journeys.
