Sorry for the late update y’all. The updated charger fixed the problem! However now I have to deal with damaged trim from prying it open with the dealership. Totally unacceptable.

Thanks for the update, as discouraging as it is. I was afraid of that. I need to bring mine in for the three (!) recalls, but I'm not going to let them mess with the wireless charger. I'll just work around that issue.

this was my solution. It works great.



I used two-sided 3M tape to attach the Apple wireless charger to the NX.

Works perfect!

I find the charger works great for my S20 with a big Otterbox case. The only issue I have is constantly forgetting to take it with me when I leave the car!

I went into the Lexus dealer today for the 5,000 mile check and asked them about the replacement part for the wireless charger. I have a iPhone 13 max and the wireless charger does not work with any case on the phone. It will charge my phone without a case. The parts department was able to look up the build details for my car and told me the “replacement part” was part of the car build. So that was interesting. My NX is a 2022, built in Ontario, and I received my car in July.

it’s where the black trim meets up with the shiny plastic above and to the right of the usb ports. I am giving the dealership a chance to remedy this. The service manager was off yesterday but my advisor took pictures and saw the damage.
I took my first long distance trip in the vehicle and the charger consistently charged my iPhone 12 Pro Max in the spigen clear case. This is definitely the fix

I just brought mine in for the 10k service and they replaced the cradle assembly to 861C0-F6010 without any issue. It’s working well compared to what was installed initially with iPhone 12’s.

@compdr59 Did you have to mention a TSB or anything? Or did you just say it doesn't work? What did you have to say or do to get them to replace it? I guess that is my question.

Was your NX a 2022 model or 2023 model? I have a 2022 so I assume I have the "old" style wireless charger in mine.

Does anyone know when they started installing the upgraded wireless charger at the factory as my NX was built in June of 2022?

I have a 22 450h+ purchased in May 22 and scheduled my 10k service with a loaner(21 RX) I was discussing several complaints discussed on this forum and mentioned the phone charger works for 3 minutes and then stops. They ordered the part and I received it back in 3 days and $20 gasoline later. The service invoice mentioned charger overheating, I guess to cover the warranty reimbursement.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to see if I have the same problem with the 23 450h+. Problem is I can't drive and watch the charger to see if it's charging or not. I'll have to get the wife to watch.
