2004 RX400H 12 battery replacement -> Check hybrid error
My 12V battery was buggy, because it was running empty more and more. So today I bought a new one at the dealer (same toyota battery).
Today I replaced it myself by disconnecting the old battery and installing the new one. I turned the key and the enige started directly and the fan made a lot of noise. I could also see on the display that the system was starting/rebooting. In the info display there was a message 'check hybrid system' with a red triangle.
The car didn't drive. I waited 10 minutes and tried again. Now the engine doesn't start anymore and also the message 'check hybrid system' with a red triangle is still there.
Before the battery replacement I had no issues with the car at all.
What can I do to fix this myself, because I can't drive to the dealer?

Did you connect it correctly? 12V replacement shouldn't cause any issues.
Do you have scanner? for example, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...l#post11120000
PS: What is the correct year of your car? 400h started in 2006 (model year, so production was started in 2005)

Problem fixed itself. This morning I tried starting the car again, it works as normal without errors.
So probably you have to wait a while after changing the battery. My presumption is that th hybrid system also resets and reboots.
It is a 2005 RX400h
