Default 2023 NX 350h Fuel Consumption

I got my car back in November. I'm getting something like 550km or so to a tank! I've tried both Premium and 87 octane and no change in what I get in milage! Fuel consumption shows 8.9 L/100
I've reset it few times and still not getting anywhere close to what a hybrid should get. This is my 3rd hybrid. My first was a prius for few months and then went to Lexus ES hybrid and now the NX. Is anyone else having this issue? it just seems to me that getting 550 - 600km to a tank is worst then my RC 350!!

This is my first Hybrid as well and I noticed my overall fuel economy drop from avg of 6.6L/100km to 7.2L/100km and it’s mainly the winter weather. All cars loses fuel economy during winter due to heating up the car during winter and I’m sure it’ll change in the summer time or at least I would hope so!!

That's downright appalling! That's really terrible mileage. Do you have a lead foot? That can play a big part...

I have a 22 NXh and I get 720km on a full tank in winter with regular tires. Which is only slightly less than I got with the run flats in summer weather (~740km).

I should add that for my winter tires, I downsized to 18" instead of the 20" that came with the car. Those run flats certainly do a number on your mileage. Can't wait for them to wear out before I change them.

Something is definitely wrong with your car.

Mileage is effected by many factors. For our 350h, I have gotten as high as 39.5mpg (6L/100km) in the summer to as low as 28mpg (8.11L/100km) in the winter with mountain snow driving and ski rack on.

Down in balmy North Carolina, I'm getting around 6.3 L/100km. NX350h, with 18" wheels if that matters.

If I drive it conservatively, I'm getting 40 mpg on average (5.88 l/100km).
If I drive it normally (on Sports mode), I get about 35 mpg (6.72 l/100km).

Several factors could be contributing to your low mileage. Cold weather is one. How long is your average drive / commute? If only a few miles, and the car is parked for more than half-hour afterwards, the engine never warms up and mileage will be terrible.
Take your car on a long(er) drive and see if your mileage improves.
Re. using 87 octane gas - it won't affect the mileage. But it may affect your engine performance and longevity. The engine is designed (timed) to use high octane gas. With lower octane gas, it will suffer from knocking. Unlike old engines, in which knocking was very noticeable, modern engines will retard ignition so may not notice knocking but it's still there but it's not healthy for the engine on the long run.

i was getting low 6's during summer and now in winter with weather and winter tires it's around low 7's . if you've had hybrids before, you should know fuel mileage drops in winter
