im lookin for a 01'-02' blue IS300 manual. (not positive if the 01' model came with manual)

There is enough space for the 2JZ-GTE engine, but the swap is not easy. Only a few shops would be capable for doing the swap. Also, going with a single turbo kit is very different in terms of cost and labor. I'm not sure why you think the price is about the same. Also, twin turbo engines don't necessarily "come with" a 6-speed tranny (you would have to buy that separately), but rather the 2JZ-GTE came with a 6-speed manual transmission from factory.
There are several companies that offer a single turbo upgrade kit, but nobody offers a twin turbo kit. There are also a lot of supercharger kits available for the IS300. You could of course build a custom twin turbo kit (for example: http://www.is300.net/modules.php?nam...pic&t=13390858).
Also, it's widely believed that the stock auto tranny can hold more power than the manual tranny. Along with whatever form of forced induction you go with, you will probably want to upgrade your tranny and other things.

02 was the first year manual trannys came out for the IS. As for the 2JZ-GTE, yes it will fit, but it's not plug and play. You're better off to do a single turbo kit instead of paying the money to get the 2JZ-GTE to fit and fabricated to work. The Getrag 6spd manual from the 2JZ-GTE Supra Turbo can work BUT with modification. Because the tranny will not fit in the IS300's tunnel, it will need to be modified to fit. It would be wise if you did more research on this.

2JZGTTE swap for IS300
http://www.streetimports.com/prices.htm
click that link, and look at the 2JZGTTE. it costs around $4000 at another site, plus about $2-3,000 for install. go to google and just type in "2JZGTTE" and a grip of sites come up with prices. comes with 6 spd tranny. wondering if its worth the swap, HP-wise? lookin to get around 500-600 HP.
and yes..i've heard this subject is old..but i havent seen any other threads concerning this..actually i have seen one..but they also said its old and didnt answer it..

The last-generation Supra had what was essentially a 320 HP twin-turbo version of the current engine in the IS...the 3.0 straight-six. That assembly fit into a sports car that was markedly smaller and lower than an IS.....I don't see any reason why, with maybe some work, it couldn't fit into an IS.
Flipside 909 would probably be better at answering this, though, than I am.
