Thanks for closing this thread Henry... Guys let's please try to keep the posts helpful and respectful to each other's point of view. We don't need for everybody to be prim and proper, but there is no need to be at each other's throats. Not everybody has to agree.

Personal experience - I've run two sets of Irridiums (got one new set in now) and one set of TMs. I'm going to switch back to the TMs because they work better in my car... keep in mind the dyno test linked above is for a GS400 and not a 2JZ machine, so it's going to be a different experience. Perhaps someone with an IS3 or GS3 will dyno their car like Gene did and get some real evidence.

I do want to point out one item that has been overlooked in the conversation on this thread (and why I quoted IS_dude above)... The dyno Gene did was EXACTLY what IS_dude asked for. He dynoed a GS400 to establish the baseline with the Denso's (2 runs). He then pulled the Denso's and installed the TM's and dynoed again. This happened all on the same day.

The post is a bit confusing because he mentions his own GS' baseline dyno from a couple of years prior for comparison only... but it's not a factor in this test. The only real issue I see is that the ECU was not reset on the dyno for the first baseline. I've personally done a dyno test with no reset and then reset the ECU with no difference in HP / TQ, so I don't think thats a significant issue.
