Has anyone put a Altezza cluster in a US spec IS300? I wanted to put one in my car but don't know if it's plug n play or is there modification to make it work? Does it have to be the same year IS? I heard that the 2001 are different then the 2002+ cluster and are not interchangable. What are the differences is the two clusters? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know this for a fact, but my guess is that some of the fuel gauge markings also be different to account for liters rather than gallons.

If you're talking about the dash / instrument cluster, the main differences between the two would probably be that the Altezza / IS200 speedometer would be accentuated more toward KPH's rather than MPH, the odometer more toward kilometers than miles, and the cluster may or may not come with an airbag warning light and hookup.....many countries overseas where the Altezza is sold don't require airbags.

i believe the altezza (or trd??) cluster, the center circle is rpm instead of your speed. that's totally racing oriented

That is correct. The center guage is your Tach instead of your Speedo and the speedo calibrated in km/h obviously is located where our Tach is.

it was plug an play but
issues:
1. it reads KPH not MPH
2. tach is off (redline is at 8500)
3. night lights work but can't dim them.
