for the record, here's an OT funny story. a guy i know, he was shopping for integra back in 2000 (right before rsx came out). he could have gotten a totally new 2 door for 21k out of the door, but he wanted 4 door. the sales walked him to the back lot, saw this 4 door used integra, he loved it, and he sales said "ok, i can sell you this car for 21k out of the door too, the 2 extra doors are free"

the guy actually felt VERY happy and glad that he's getting a deal, and he bought the car the same day. i forgot to say, the sales also put a FREE 14k miles on the used car too.

oh and what's even MORE amazing? have you ever heart of buying OPTIONS on USED car? yeah he did. he added the options of factory alarm and also the paint protection coat.

regardless, this story still amazes me every day

Question

I'm looking for a 2004 IS300 too.

I know it's about 30k for the sportdesign edition from carsdirect.com. So how much lower dealership can get?

For the sportdesign edition, can a Navigation System add on? How much more will it cost?

I got quoted 31.7k from the same source for a regular (NOT special editon) w/ Navigation System.

Is now a good time to buy car, or should i wait until aug/sept? It seems that the market is kinda slow right now.

Thanks

Hi Henry,

I already have the info from you when I was doing research on GS3.

And I would love to see how much she can help me save on my next car.

Thanks

Hahahaha. If I wasn't so much of a flake, I would've gone out to dinner with you guys a lot sooner. And anyways, not too much in El Monte. Good places to eat, I mean.

Thanks Elias for your information. Elizabeth of longo lexus has already given me a great deal. The car is parked in the garage right now. She even arranged for tow truck to deliver from Los Angeles straight to Sacramento and it came perfectly clean with full tank of gas. I already know about the cost of ownership of the lexus and that was one of the factors of determining my decision from a BMW 330. Maintenaince cost for a bmw is too expensive so I went with lexus. I don't agree with paying MSRP for any car though. I'm preetty sure other people on this forums would say the same. MSRP is the last price you want to pay. Just my thought. Thanks for the info though.

King Taco is a local cheap eats Mexican joint. There's actually 2 of them in El Monte. It's the type of place where if you go at the peak times, the lines are massive. They have the best carne asada tacos with the hottest sauce I've ever had.

King Taco is definitely the best place for tacos. They're a chain based here and located only in SoCal. They are a big race venue vendor for Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix and California Speedway races. There's one up the road on Peck not even 2 minutes from Longo. Very authentic!
