Default Pricing for 2004 IS400 Thundercloud Metallic Manual Sports

Anyone have any idea on how much I should pay for a IS400 Thundercloud Metallic 5-speed with the Sports package, which includeds leather trim, euro suspension, and 11 spoke wheels. I was thinking about going 32k bottom line. Any feedback would be appreciated.

well if you can tell us where you found the is400 let us know, i will buy 2 of them.

j/k, i think you mean is300. the car you looking for is the sport design is300, no nav? if so then i think 32k is way too high for the car. maybe around 30k is what i would shoot for. if you need help let me know

Whoops lol, I meant IS300, got it confused with my LS400

I live in Houston, TX and the salesman as well as lexus.com gave me 32,6xx as the msrp. They also said that there were only 2 IS300s of this model and color in my region. I don't think you can get navigation for the manual version. You think I should shoot for 30k bottom line including tax (6.25%), title, and license? Are there any other fees besides those? I plan on paying with cash.

This is the link for options on the car

nonoon, 30k before tax and fees, so it's about 32k out of the door. and yes, you can get 5 speed with nav. my is3 is fully loaded 5 speed with nav and every possible options

I just bought a 2004 5-spd IS300 with the Alacantra package (power seats, Homelink, etc.), spoiler, LSD, cargo net, wheel locks for $27.4 before tax. Tacking on all the taxes and fees brought it to $29.9 out the door.

I don't know if you can get the same deal on a SportDesign though.

Default Thundercloud

I got my used 2003 is300 Thunder Cloud For $26,000 + Taxes and Etc. Had 13K miles but every option except heated seats and nav. Acutally to this day, I dont know if I have limited slip? Humm perhaps this is something I should try and find out. At any rate, paid $26,000 for Sport Design thunder, including black leather and rear spolier. Let me know if you have another other questions.

I read in money magazine that you should shoot for 28 or 29k on the new is300's so im guessing like 30k with tax title and everything is a good deal.

Yep...$29K s/b easy to get...my buddy just bought an '04 IS GGP auto fully loaded but no nav for 29K...and he is not really a good negotiator for cars...I had to force him to call them and state 29K or he walks...I think 29 is reasonable...if you have more time, I would shoot for less.

^Was that 29k before tax, title, and license?

wow! It seems like the price fluctuates quite a bit. The automatic or e-shift is more expensive than the manual, so I guess I should lower my starting price to 29k bottom line. I am going to the 5th ranked business school in the nation so I hope I can get a lower price than the average joe.

Is it better to negotiate with the bottom line price or the price before tax, title, and license?

by the way, what's "s/b"?

You can generally tell if you have limited-slip by parking with one rear tire on a dry surface, if possible, and the other one on a slippery one, and then giving it some gas. Obviously, this is best done on snow or ice. If the tire on the slippery surface just spins and the tire on dry ground goes nowhere and you sit still, then you don't have limited slip. If the tire on the dry surface starts to move you somewhat, then you do have limited-slip. The general idea goes by different names....some makers call it Limited-slip, some call it PosiTraction, some call it Sure-Grip, etc.... It all means the same thing. This, of course, is different from the electronic traction control....which all IS300's have standard.

actually all automatic comes with e shift already, and it's 2k more than the 5 speed. but yeah, if you get auto 29 is a good start (without nav and lsd)
