Man, sorry to hear about this Justin. The rash of accidents is still going on I see. A friend of mine wrecked his IS not too long ago and the damage didn't look as bad as yours and his is totalled. Here is a pic for reference. I really hope they total it out and find her at fault. Like the others have said it would never be the same if it was fixed. Good luck!

your friend's car is totalled coz' that's very serious frame damage, the whole right front wheel is done, axle broken, and whole front suspension done. that car is a waste of money to repair

Rominl, the insurance company was actually toying with the thought of repairing it believe it or not. After 3 weeks they finally concluded to total it. You never know with insurance companies these days. Which is the reason for my earlier statement.

Three weeks to decide? That is bull****! Thank goodness I have State Farm, they are on top of it. They are talking to Mercury today and getting things all taken care of, and want the Lex in a body shop within the next few days. I just picked up my rental, Nissan Xterra. Off to work I go, would'nt it just be my luck if someone crashed into the rental?

State Farm is very good as well as AAA and sometimes Farmers. I work with many insurance companies and Mercury is one of those that are touchy when it comes to direct billing.

Out of curiousity...who did you rent your car with? Please don't tell me those con artists with the green E badge. If so...beware.

No wonder you have an IS300 as your personal car.....working around rentals eight hours a day.
I guess if it pays the bills, though, you can't knock it.

Just be careful. They're notorious for adding erroneous charges to your bill. Just don't put a dent or any scratch on their car...they'll find a way to get you. That's why they've been in trouble with the Better Business Bureau on several occassions.

8 hours a day? Add 3-4 hours more and a 4 hour saturday to that.
