my lease is about up on my GS400, and i was considering an IS300, because the salesguy said they can install a TRD blower on it, and it will have the full factory warranty. is this true ? anyone else seen one of these actually dealer installed? thanks

M,
your source is half-way correct.
the increase in the sales of the IS would warrant factory or TRD to bring out a suoercharger for the IS, just like what they did to the 4 Runners for toyota.
the question is when will such be available? i might be wrong, but i have not seen them yet. most importantly, you would need to have the dealer install them for you in order to stay within warranty.

ALL TRD products are warrantied by Lexus themself. your local dealers do not make calls on warranty or right up the rule on it. TRD supercharger for the IS300 is under development and from what i've heard wont be ready till end of this year or beginning of the next. due to reliability reasons, the gain of a TRD S/C is minimal (50hp) from what i hear. the IS300 Pace car DID have a TRD S/C on it and the motor on it blew, so TRD went back to testing for more reliability issue which caused the push back date the the released of the supercharger.
