Is this CF hood for an IS300?
Ok - dumb question, i know...however, I have this extra carbon fiber hood and I have NO idea what car is goes on.
History:
Ordered a top secret CF hood for my supra...first was damaged, went back. Second box showed up - looked good, so I accepted. Opened the box and it was DEF not a supra hood, let alone top secret.
The company, Modellista Designs (SoCal) let me keep this hood and couldn't ID the shipping info to even tell me what hood it is! Yes, I finally got my top secret hood...
Anyway - after meeting up w/a friend who has a turbo lexus (sick....) I saw his hood and thought..damn it - I think it's for an IS300:
If anyone is local to S NJ and wants to verify personally - that would be great!

I doubt that that is an IS hood, the IS hoods I have seen have a hump looking thing right in the middle. I will find a pic of an IS hood for you.

Scott down in Maryland has a killer turbo lexus/6spd and Dan here in NJ - both are insane rides.
Feel free to roll on down so I can see if the hood is right!

not all carbon fiber hoods for the IS300 have the middle hump like the stock hood. I agree though on this one the front lip seems like it would fall over the front grill. The pic that amy provided is the one i recently bought from custom carbons on ebay. they gave great service and it's been shipped just waiting on it.
But for 300 shipped i couldn't pass it up since it was a promotional item at that price

agreed.. .but that is NOT an IS hood...
you can tell by the shape of the leading edge above where the headlights would be if it were closed... those curves are more acute than the IS hood shape is... this is for a Honda or something like that...
those hoods arevery similar in general shape... & i have not EVER seen an OEM style CF hood for an IS that DID NOT have at least the center bulge in it...
while it is certainly possible .. .in 2.5 years of scouring the web for al loptions of CF parts for this car.. . i have never seen one without the bulge...

My guess is 1992-95 Civic with the flat spots by the headlights and the way the feature lines run. I think there is a different hood for coupe, hatch, sedan though.
